Shadow Dance is a simple and functional, but ferocious acid track. Initially produced start-to-finish in just one hour, this aggressive little track was passed around among some DC and NYC DJs under the name “TAC I.” Shadows Dance is a slightly edited and re-mastered version for release on Sympathies 1. "TAC 1" was a spontaneous time-trial project that came out of a frustrated, unproductive afternoon, and was intended to be part of a series of tracks produced in 1-hour stretches. "TAC" refers to the Trumpism/Bannonism "this american carnage," a hateful and distorted portrayal of the state of the USA, spat out during Trump's inaugural address. The TAC series was intended as the aggressive, bombastic use of acid techno to counter the insanity, fear, and loathing of the political climate in the USA.
